We stayed one night at the Dormy Inn and wish we could have stayed longer. Our beautiful spacious room was on the top floor, Japanese design/style but with proper beds (not futons). The room felt like an apartment, with plenty of room for myself and my two grown up daughters. We had a small balcony with views of the tall buildings of Ginza surrounding us. Our room also had its own private Onsen – small but two of us fitted into it quite comfortably. We also used the hotel’s residents’ Onsen located in the basement – this was lovely. We were surprised and delighted with all the freebie items on offer from this hotel – there were nuts, biscuits, soft drinks, ice creams, beers and more on a help yourself basis – thank you! From its location in Ginza, we walked a few minutes to the heart of Ginza where we were spoilt for choice in terms of restaurants and shops.

A beautiful boutique feeling hotel in a quiet location in Ginza. The rooms are simple but the onsen is really beautiful. They have black water, which I failed to ask what sort of mineral content is in it but it left my skin soft, and it was much needed after my 14 hour flight. The staff are there to help you in all ways. They let me check in a half hour early, (though I arrived at 8:30am and wished I could've used the onsen right away). They held my bags when I arrive well before check-in time. The location is a 5 minute walk from the nearest metro line. I really liked this area in Tokyo, it's not crazy like Shinjuku. It's quiet, more refined, but easily accessible. It is also close to the tsukiji fish market.

This was our second favorite hotel during our 4 weeks traveling all over Japan. (Our fave was their sister property Dormy Premium in Kyoto.) We were enchanted for 5 nights. Excellent facilities and super clean. Sensational breakfast buffet. Outstanding, clean and beautiful onsen with luxurious hot soaking bath and sauna and many cleansing cubicles. Spacious room (for Tokyo) and well appointed. Very quiet. The cheerful staff wear traditional yukatas and were super helpful. The laundry facilities are really useful. Location is great near the subway station and many restaurants. Evening ramen was popular. We loved the free matcha latte and tea and coffee machine in the dining room. Highly recommended!

Breakfast - very good: value for money, traditional Japanese style, buffet breakfast (50min, but did not see it enforced, but could be during busier periods) Onsen facilities - free Onsen in the middle of the city, available for most of the day/night - Fantastic after a day out in Tokyo. There is also a sauna and cold bath to use too. Ice-cream available in the entry/exit area is very welcome after a visit there. Staff - as expected, helpful and skilled in multiple languages. Check-in during middle of the night was quick and smooth. Convenience store - directly across the street, useful for anything you need.

This is by far my favorite hotel during my stay in Tokyo. It's relatively new so everything is clean and shiny, the room is really comfortable with a small partition. They offer a hot spring bath directly in the hotel, and free popsicles/yogurt drink. The free soba ramen that they offer in the late evening is really delicious. Overall a hidden gem in the busy district of Ginza and I hope I will visit again soon.
